Morning Bell
Good morning everyone
Welcome to our new Blog where we will keep you up on all the news in and around the yacht club and marina. It is Thursday the 24th of Jan. and we're fogged in this morning. It looks like we'll have a great day once it clears.
Yesterday they finished the launch pad concrete pour. 72 truckloads of cement. Now a week for it to cure and we'll begin using it for launching boats. The temporary bath and shower rooms will be moved to the North end of the pad late next week along with the laundry facilities. I'm sure all will welcome the shorter walk from the docks.

Here is a photo of the launch pad at the halway finished point.
The Naples Boat Show begins this morning. We'll be there with a few Premier Pontoon Boats to show and, of course, all of the large photos and DVD of the new facilities. If you're in the area why not come by and say hello.
People come and go in the marina this time of year. Recently our dear friends Joe and Zigi Rogali made their annual visit for as couple of months and are now on the wya to Marathon before heading off to the Northern Bahamas.

Joe and Zigi have been regulars every year for 7 seasons and always arrive with big sniles. We'll misss you Guys! Safe travels.
With the recent high winds and extreme tides the beaches have been changing daily. The last big Norther cleaned the beach completely and then a high tide brought a bit of algea ashore. With the low tides this time of year a morning walk on the beach is a wonderful study of nature and our constantly changing environment.
This time of year the Manatees are usually all up the river where the water is warm but last week we spotted one lone Manatee in the marina. A common sight in the spring and summer.
Time to go. Morning Bell will ring most every morning around 8:30 AM. Tomorrow should bring some more pics of the progress of construction and news of Neville and Catherine's upcoming departure on their world cruise.
